Seven Years in Tibet ... The real essence of Buddhism.

The film's story takes place during the Second World War in the Himalayas and is based on a true story.
Her main characters are Heinrich Harrer and Peter Aufschnaiter two Austrians and the Dalai Lama, who in the film is still a child. It all starts when Heinrich Harrer and Austrian mountaineers Peter Aufschnaiter go on an expedition to try to climb the mountain Nanga Parbat in Pakistan.
While attempting the climb, begins Mundia War and both are taken prisoner by the British.Months later, climbers escape from the prison camp and fled to Tibet, where they are presented to the Dalai Lama, who was then a child. His stay in Lhasa, capital of Tibet extends for many years due to the blockade of the borders because of the war. During this time, Harrer and Aufschnaiter take the form of life of Tibetans and people adopted cosmology.
Whereas Aufschnaiter married a Tibetan woman, Harrer creates a strong friendship with the Dalai Lama. Seven years after arriving in Tibet, Harrer returned to Austria in the middle of the Chinese invasion of Tibet, while the Dalai Lama took refuge in India.
The friendship between Holiness (Dalai Lama) and Harret was preserved over the years. Moreover, Peter Harrer died in 2006.

It really is an amazing movie. I recommend it.

Greetings.
